Here is a recipe for homemade pizza. I have made this many times and friends and family have loved it every time.
Ingredients:
Maida (all purpose flour):4cups
Water:2 cups (warm….not hot)
Active dry yeast: 2 ¼ Tbl sp
Cooking oil: 3 Tblsp
Salt: ¼ tsp
Sugar: 1 tsp
Take 2 cups water in a mixing bowl. Mix sugar and yeast and set aside for ten minutes.
Add the flour a little at a time and mix thoroughly to make a very soft dough. Add 2 tblsp. oil as you are mixing the dough. Turn the dough onto a clean, floured surface and knead lightly. Add about a tblsp of oil while kneading. Keep the dough aside for 10 minutes or till it doubles in size.
Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and place on two floured pizza pans. Shape the dough onto the pans. Using a toothpick, make holes on the surface. This allows the air to escape.
Now bake the pizza base in the oven at 350 degrees F. for 15 mins.
Sauce and Toppings:
Capsicum (Bell pepper) - 1 medium
Mushrooms -1cup
Pepper- 1tsp
Oregano- I tsp
Grated Onion- 2tsp
Chicken cut into small pieces -1/2 pound
Tomato sauce- 1cup
Mozerella cheese (grated)
Combine tomato sauce, oregano and pepper and spread it onto the prepared base
Add cheese as required and the different toppings in desired quantity.
Add some more cheese and place the pizza in the oven at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes
